Lola was inspired to become an Olympian after watching the 2012 London Olympics and started her rowing career at Surbiton in Year 8 and quickly demonstrated her talent and dedication to the sport. She won numerous national events with Surbiton High School, showcasing her skill and determination. During her time at Surbiton, Lola's remarkable performances led to her selection for the Great Britain junior team, where she excelled on the international stage.
After leaving Surbiton, Lola attended Newcastle University. There, she continued her rowing career with great success, representing Great Britain as an under-23 athlete. Her university years were marked by significant achievements, at national and international competitions, which solidified her reputation as a top-tier rower.
Following her graduation from Newcastle, Lola returned to Surbiton, contributing to our rowing program as a rowing coach. While coaching, she balanced her duties with rigorous training. Her hard work and perseverance paid off as she eventually earned a place as a full-time GB rowing athlete.
